Textured flakes

Textured quinoa flakes are perfect for adding a chewy, meat-like texture to your product. They have and a mild flavour and therefore work well in a wide range of applications, including plant based meat and fish alternatives, such as burgers, sausages and vegan-tuna.

Production: Textured quinoa flakes are produced from locally grown quinoa seeds by using innovative texturising technologies. They are stored frozen (-18˚C) but can be used both thawed and frozen.

Size: The size of the textured flakes ranges between 2-20 mm.

Texture: After thawing, they have a firm and chewy bite, which makes them perfect to give a meat-like texture to plant-based meat and fish alternatives.

Colour and flavour: They have a beige colour and a neutral & slightly nutty quinoa flavour.

Allergen-free: Quinoa flakes are EU-14 allergen-free (gluten-free <20 ppm).

Suitable for: Kosher, halal, vegetarians & vegan

Perfect in: Meat and fish alternatives, such as burgers, sausages, vegan-tuna, spreads and filet americain.
