Flakes

Quinoa flakes are perfect for adding texture and a mild, nutty flavor to your product. They work well in a wide range of applications, including breakfast cereals, coatings and sport bars.

Production: Quinoa flakes are made from locally grown wholegrain quinoa through a gentle toasting and crushing process, resulting in thin, flat flakes with a light, nutty flavor.

Colour and flavour: They have a beige/cream-colour and have a characteristic nutty quinoa flavour.

Size: We offer two types of quinoa flakes. The 16036 flakes are lightly crushed (2-3 mm) which preserving the quinoa seed’s natural structure. The 16040 flakes are larger (3-5 mm) because they are more intensely crushed. They are perfect for crispy coatings on plant-based products or adding visual appeal. Both types can be used as a rolled oat alternative in porridge, baked goods, and more.

Valuable addition: Since quinoa belongs to the Amaranth family (which also includes spinach and beetroot), it has some interesting nutritional benefits, such as a high fibre content and a high protein quality. Quinoa Flakes is therefore a valuable addition to many food products.

Allergen-free: Quinoa flakes are EU-14 allergen-free (gluten-free <20 ppm) and is therefore very suitable in gluten-free bakery products.
